2. At a glance
This website is deliberately lean. It uses no analytics or advertising tools, loads no third-party content (such as videos, maps or social media posts) and sets no cookies when you visit. I only process personal data where this is technically necessary to run the website or when you contact me.
3. Hosting and access data
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. With every visit, IONOS automatically processes access data: the page or file requested, the previously visited page (referrer), browser type and version, operating system, device type, date and time, and your IP address.
According to IONOS, the IP address is anonymised as soon as it is collected. The data is stored for eight weeks, is not passed on to third parties and is not transferred to third countries.
The purpose is the secure and stable operation of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest is error-free and secure delivery of the website. IONOS processes the data as a processor under a contract pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Backups of the website are also stored on the IONOS web server.
4. Website maintenance
For updates and backups, the website is connected to the maintenance service ManageWP (GoDaddy). The service can access the content and data of the website; visitor data is not specifically collected. Processing in the USA is possible; the provider bases transfers on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (secure, up-to-date operation of the website).
5. Cookies and storage on your device
This website does not set any cookies or use similar technologies to recognise visitors. Consent is therefore not required.
6. Fonts
All fonts are loaded locally from this server. No connection to Google or any other provider is made.
7. Contact by email or phone
If you contact me by email or phone, I process the information you provide (for example name, contact details and the content of your enquiry) to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your enquiry relates to or prepares a booking, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). The email mailbox is operated by IONOS.
I delete your data once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply (for example for business letters and invoices under German commercial and tax law, usually six or ten years).
8. Links to other websites
This website contains links to Instagram (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) and to the agency The BeautyPool (thebeautypool.de). These are simple links: no data is transferred until you click a link. The respective provider is responsible for processing on those sites.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). An informal message to info@charliemakeup.com is sufficient.
Right to object under Art. 21 GDPR: Where I process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
I will then no longer process your data unless I can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
10. Encryption
This website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise it by “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.
11. No automated decision-making
No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
